PVC film

PVC plastic or polyvinyl chloride, is a rigid plastic designed to withstand harsh impacts and extreme temperatures. The material is most commonly used when creating cables, roofing materials, commercial signage, flooring, faux leather clothing, pipes, hoses and more. PVC plastic is created through suspension polymerization to produce a hard, rigid structure.

PET film

Pet film is one the most widely used plastics for thermoforming. The material is molded into the designated shape, and then dried for increased resistance. The plastic is used to produce food containers, beverage bottles, synthetic fibers and more. PET is the most common plastic for thermoforming packaging designs because of its high-strength barrier that can resist outside tampering or other elements.

Polyethylene Terephthalate is a strong, lightweight plastic resin and form of polyester that closely resembles glass in clarity and takes colorants well. PET is commonly used in food packaging due to its strong barrier properties against water vapor, dilute acids, gases, oils and alcohols. PET is also shatter-resistant, slightly flexible and easy to recycle.

  • PET film is non-toxic, 100% recyclable, and environmentally friendly.for thermoforming.
  • For Egg Tray
  • FOR food tray
  • For box folding
  • for Screen printing
  • UV offset printing
  • FOR Blister PACKING

Physically, both PET and PVC have similar characteristics, both Pet film and PVC film materials are very good for thermoforming, but there are a few key elements where PET outperforms its predecessor. It has a higher thermal conductivity, which ultimately means it requires less energy to mould it when thermoforming and a quicker cycle time. Another key environmental edge that PET has over PVC is that it can be recycled much more easily, PET regrind can be used to return to sheet whereas PVC regrind is much more difficult and expensive to use.

PET Film Advantage

PET film is more polular because so many large companies (and Europe) have directives to avoid PVC. because PET is recyclable and safe to food contact.

There are other clear material alternatives such as PET-G: a good material that has the characteristics of PVC.but higher cost than PET.
